We
expect the Nokia 7500 Prism to be announced in
the next week or so - from what we can tell this is
an unusual fashion phone with triangular keys.
At the moment the only official picture from Nokia comes
from China and it doesn't show much detail (see left).
According to the specifications we have
been able to determine, the Nokia 7500 Prism is a 2G
handset with EDGE and GPRS data, a 240x320 pixel display
in 262,000 colours and a MP3 player.
The rumour is that there is perhaps
more than one phone to be launched in this range - that
would make some sense as Nokia have a tendency to launch
fashion phones in threes.
So, other than the fact the we know
that the 7500 exists (and we think that it is called
the "Prism") then there's very little to go
on.. but you can be sure that we'll bring you more news
as soon as we have it.
Update: Nokia China now have
a page for the 7500
Prism (translated).
This says that it's a quad-band GSM device with microSD
expandable memory (512MB included in the standard sales
package), a 2 megapixel camera, an MP3/AAC/eAAC+/WMA
media player, runs Symbian Series 40 and measures 109
x 44 x 14mm and weighs 82 grams.
