Nokia

Nokia tweaked its flagship device to come up with the Nokia Lumia 925, a thinner and lighter version of the well-regarded Lumia 920. Further down the range, Nokia updated its Asha feature phone line-up with the new Nokia Asha 501 which features a new design and overhauled operating system.

Samsung

A couple of midrange Android smartphones from Samsung, the Samsung Galaxy Core sits pretty much in the centre of Samsung's line-up. The most notable thing about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini is that it isn't a mini version of the S4 at all, but it sits very slightly above the Core in Samsung's product range.

Other manufacturers

The Sony Xperia ZR is a bit more compact and waterproof than the popular Xperia Z. The BlackBerry Q5 replaces the low-cost Curve range, but the half-hearted product announcement doesn't bode well for BlackBerry. The HTC Desire 600 dual sim is a decent upper-midrange Android device with multi-SIM capabilities. The Jolla smartphone is due sometime this year and resurrects Nokia's MeeGo operating system to create something a little bit different.
