We see a lot of black and white slabby smartphones with similar
features, and the LG Optimus L7 is just another such device
that struggles to differentiate itself from the crowd.
The Optimus L7 is a tidy looking device with a 4.3" 480
x 800 pixel display, a five megapixel camera on the back plus a
front-facing VGA camera and a 1GHz CPU. There's a reasonably large
1700 mAh battery inside, and apart from that all the usual Android
features are here such as GPS, 3.5G support, WiFi and Bluetooth.
Inside is 4GB of memory (2.7GB available to the user) and there
is also a microSD slot.
Two significant things that the Optimus L7 does have in its favour
are the inclusion of Android 4.0 ICS out-of-the-box, and also a
very reasonable price tag with prices starting at €200 including
tax for a SIM-free version.
LG's
marketing pitch with the L-Series of Android phones is that they
look expensive but aren't, and LG seems to have largely succeeded
with the Optimus L7. The L7 is just 8.7mm thick and it weighs a
pocket-friendly 121 grams.
If you are in the market for a midrange Android smartphone with
a good sized display and the latest version of Android, then the
LG Optimus L7 looks like a good one to consider. It is available
widely in retailers in either white or black colours.
